Software License Management:

  • Implement and maintain effective software license management processes to ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to track software license usage and ensure adherence to licensing terms.
  • Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to negotiate favorable licensing terms and conditions.
IT Asset Management:
  • Develop and implement IT asset management strategies to optimize the lifecycle of hardware and software assets.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all IT assets, including licenses, warranties, and maintenance agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize asset management practices across the organization.
Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure that the organization complies with software licensing agreements and industry regulations.
  • Generate regular reports on software license usage, compliance status, and potential risks.
  • Provide recommendations for cost optimization and process improvement based on analysis and reporting.
Vendor Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with software vendors and licensing partners.
  • Stay informed about changes in licensing models, terms, and conditions from key software vendors.
  • Work closely with vendors to resolve licensing issues and negotiate favorable agreements.
Training and Awareness:
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for IT and non-IT staff to raise awareness of software asset management best practices.
  • Provide guidance on adhering to licensing policies and avoiding potential compliance risks.
Qualifications
  • Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in software asset management and software license management.
  • In-depth knowledge of licensing models, terms, and conditions for major software vendors.
  • Familiarity with IT asset management principles and best practices.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., IAITAM, ISO 19770).
Additional Information
  • Candidates based in South Africa.
  • Primarily hybrid but candidates must be prepared to be in the office when required.
  • 12 months initial contract to extend.
  • Rate is negotiable depending on experience.
  • South African Citizens, PR holders, and/or Foreign Nationals holding a valid Visa are welcome.
