To lead on Legal aspects of Public Health research related to NCD prevention

Key performance areas:
Identify novel research methods and ideas
Attract research funding by identifying and applying for research grants in line with the PRICELESS research strategy
Publish research in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, reports and present findings to stakeholders, the PRICELESS team, and other groups including the media
Manage research projects from inception to completion
Manage and mentor junior researchers
Supervise students (Masters)
Uphold the values of PRICELESS
Required minimum education and training:
Master of Laws (LLM) Degree
Required minimum work experience:
Minimum 5 years of working experience in a research environment
Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities:
Expertise in constitutional law
Expertise in administrative law
Experience in grant writing
Interest in health and equity in South Africa
Experience in research methodologies
Published articles in peer-reviewed journals
Strong writing and presentation skills
Good conceptualization skills
Experience in teaching
Attention to detail
Flexible and adaptive with a positive approach to taking on several duties
Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
