Key responsibilities
- Own the full recruitment lifecycle for SaaS sales roles (SDR/BDR, AE, Account Manager, Sales Manager, Sales Director), from intake to offer and onboarding coordination.
- Partner with sales leaders to define role profiles, headcount plans, target companies, territories, and compensation benchmarks.
- Build and execute targeted sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches, referrals, talent mapping and headhunting from competitor SaaS organisations.
- Assess candidates for SaaS experience (e.g., ARR/ACV, quota performance, sales cycle, territory, ICP), cultural add, and leadership potential where applicable.
- Run structured interview processes, including competency?based and sales scenario interviews, and coach hiring managers on best?practice interviewing.
- Manage a consistent, high?touch candidate experience with clear communication, feedback and timely process management.
- Maintain accurate, up?to?date data in the ATS and provide regular pipeline, time?to?hire and source?of?hire reporting.
- Advise on and help implement employer branding initiatives tailored to the South African and remote SaaS sales talent market.
- Drive diversity sourcing strategies and inclusive hiring practices.
- Build and maintain talent pools of top SaaS sales talent in key hubs (e.g., Johannesburg, Cape Town, remote across Africa/EMEA) for future needs.
Requirements
- 5-8+ years' recruitment experience, with at least 3+ years focused on hiring SaaS / technology sales professionals.
- Proven track record filling mid? to senior?level quota?carrying roles in competitive markets (SDR/BDR, AE, Sales Manager, Sales Director).
- Deep understanding of SaaS sales motions (inbound/outbound, inside/field, channel, enterprise vs SMB), metrics (quota, attainment, pipeline, ACV/ARR) and compensation structures.
- Strong sourcing skills, including direct headhunting from target accounts and building robust talent maps in South Africa and EMEA.
- Experience working in-house for a SaaS/tech company or at an agency with a heavy SaaS sales portfolio.
- Advanced experience with recruitment tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter), plus solid data/reporting skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management, able to influence senior sales leaders and challenge hiring decisions when needed.
Nice-to-have
- Experience hiring for remote / distributed SaaS sales teams across time zones.
- Familiarity with B2B SaaS segments
- Prior experience designing or improving interview processes and assessment frameworks for sales roles.
