Senior Quantity Surveyor Roads Bridges Concrete Structures

Summary of this Civil Quantity Surveyor role:

• Minimum of 15 yearsxe2x80x99 experience on large projects for roads, bridges, structures and concrete works more than R300 million.
• CCS and Buildsmart computer package knowledge
• B.Eng or BSc in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying is a requirement
• GCC, NEC, Colto, SANS is a must
• SANRAL project experience is a must

Responsibilities:

• Must be able to handle projects above R300 million with limited to no supervision.
• Able to demonstrate history of successful Contracts Administration and maximization of entitlement & profit
• Extensive Road & concrete measurement experience
• Must be technically and experientially strong in delivering high levels of productivity, quality, profitability, resource management and risk mitigation
• Knowledgeable of construction claims legislation (GCC, NEC, JBCC, FIDIC, COTO, COLTO, SANS)
• Manage the day to day running of the business inclusive of training and development of staff, Industrial Relations, Management of Productivity, Quality Control and implementation of best practice
• Production planning
• Health and safety compliance in terms of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Construction Regulations
• Develop & implement long term strategic objectives
• Procurement of work
• Overall accountability for the profitability of the business
• Management of plant and equipment to improve efficiency, reliability and company image
• Identifying obstructions to performance and implementing mitigating measures
• Prepared to travel to outlying areas
