Job Description

We are looking for a senior level Project Manager who will be responsible for IT Systems Development consisting of the replacement of the LMS platform for the company which advises a private credit fund specialising in trade finance. The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, executing and completing of this project from start to finish. They will drive business change through managing timelines, budgets, and resources, coordinating with teams and communicating with stakeholders to ensure the project goals are met.
The appointed candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
Project planning & initiation

• Define project scope, objeectives and goals and develop detailed plans to achieve them.
• Participate in the planning, designing, development and maintenance of the project's deliverables by obtaining and documenting quotes, evaluating proposals for specification compliance amd make reocmmendations plus reviews and/or inspect work for quality, accuracy and completeness.

Budget and resource management

• Create and manage project budget and allocate and manage resources such as equipment and personnel.
• Ensure effective control of costs by aligning project activities to business goals and manage project target & budget goals.

Team coordination

• Lead and coordinate teams involved in the project, and define individual responsibilities.
• Supervise and coordinate all project-related services and implement all maintenance and general procurement of materials and parts, schedule services or installations and oversee that such services, repairs or installations are accomplished in a safe & timely manner.
• Facilitate delivery through various work streams and the work stream leaders of the project.

Risk Management

• Identify and mitigate risks and adjust plans as needed to address any issues, delays or budget concerns.
• Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements.

Communication

• Act as the main point of contact for project updates, providing status reports and communicating with all stakeholders, including executive leadership and vendors.

Execution and monitoring

• Oversee the project's execution, track performance against the schedule, and ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
• Implement quality systems and metrics for measuring project success.
• Scope change management and change control, project administration and document management.

You will be the ideal candidate if you have:
Qualification

• Bachelors Degree in Project Management or related fields;
• OR Diploma in Project Management with National Senior Certificate (NSC)

Experience

• Project management in financial systems essential.
• Banking experience preferred but Business Administration, Engineering, IT background may be considered.
• Senior Project Manager 5 - 7+ years of experience.
• Experience with complex projects & cross-functional teams.
• Strategic leadership is expected.
