Job Summary We are searching for a Senior Payroll Consultant to join our team at Waterfall Office Park, Midrand Role Objective: Respond to payroll related enquiries and provide guidance on the prevailing laws governing payroll and income taxes, employee benefits, garnishments, reimbursement policies and other statutory pay related entitlements. xc3x82 xc3x82 Qualification Required: Matric (Grade 12) Preferred Qualifications: BSC/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or related fields would be preferred. Payroll, HR, Accounting and/or Business Administrationxc3x82 related qualification Experience required: Working Experience SAGE VIP SAGE 300 PEOPLE and Symplexity Minimum 10 yearsxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2 experience processing payrolls Microsoft Office Skills Knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws, LRA/BCEA/SARS Tax Laws Client Service Experience xc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x80x9c handling queriesxc3x82 Duties/ Responsibilities: Respond to payroll related enquiries and provide guidance on the prevailing laws governing payroll and income taxes, employee benefits, garnishments, reimbursement policies and other statutory payrelated entitlements. Administer all instructions from SARS re IT88 and debt collection from Employees on behalf of SARS. Administer and take ownership of reconciliations on accounts, medical aid, and provident fund. Update payroll records by reviewing and approvingchanges in taxation, exemptions, deductions, jobtitles and transfers. Prepare reports on summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, workers compensation, ROE etc. Balance the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies. Review and calculate timesheets data and hours worked (salaries, wages, and overtime wage sheets) Manage, maintain, and update payroll related data through accurate record keeping. Update payroll schedule, timely submission of payrollxc3x82 reports and requested information from various stakeholders. Identify and implement required policies, procedure's and processes for payroll department Ensure payroll consultants adhere to policies and procedures Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management team Resolve internal and external stakeholder queries pertaining to payroll processing Ensure payroll consultants respond to queries on a timeous manner Oversee reconciliations prepared by payroll consultants Engage with finance and contracts departments to ensure effortless flow of activities impacting monthly payroll processing Ensure compliance with applicable laws, payroll tax obligations and internal policies Develop technical knowledge of payroll system and provide input on required upgrades and changes Actively partake in the development of the payroll system, ensuring the system remains updated and user-friendly for payroll consultants Oversee and conduct testing on all system upgrades with the relevant system provider Coordinate payroll schedules and ensure adherence to deadlines i.e. invoice submission and salary release dates Assist Financial Manager with internal and external payroll audits Oversee processing of payroll changes i.e. new on boards, re-engagements, rate changes and terminations Ensure accurate and timely monthly salary payments to all associates based on approved timesheets and authorized instructions Oversee the administration of employee benefits such as medical aid, provident fund and other Review the approval and processing of claiming accordance to SARS regulations and company policies Ensure correct allocation of earnings, deductions, and advance payments by payroll consultants Ensure that payroll consultants maintain detailed records of payroll functions for audit purposes Ensure adherence to client company invoicing policies, procedures, and rules Tax year-end processing for all payroll systems (recon annual payroll information, submit EMP501, prepare IRP5xc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s for distribution) Facilitate monthly EMP201 for submission Reconcile bi-annual EMP501 submission for all payroll systems COIDA (extract payroll information from all payroll systems to complete ROE, submit to COIDA and generate letter of good standing) Work environment: Office based Physical demands: Demands Hybrid Model Travel: Own vehicle and driverxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s license xc3x82 xc3x82 xc3x82
