We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Operations Manager to join our clients Group Internal Audit (GIA) division on a 12-month contract, within one of South Africa's leading banks.
About the Role
As the Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for enabling the seamless delivery of the GIA mandate through strategic operations, compliance oversight, internal stakeholder management, and administrative support. This is your opportunity to make a significant impact, working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do

• Support the Head of Operations (GIA) with operational reporting and data analysis.
• Lead administrative, financial, and compliance functions within the audit division.
• Manage strategic relationships with internal stakeholders and service providers.
• Drive process improvement, governance reporting, and business optimisation initiatives.
• Oversee onboarding, performance management, and development of team members.
• Coordinate risk assessments, continuity planning, and internal projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Essential: Honours Degree or equivalent professional qualification (NQF Level 8)
• Preferred: CA(SA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Project Management Certification
• Experience:

• 5-8 years in audit, finance, or banking operations
• Minimum 3-5 years in a managerial role

• Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance processes
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills
