Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Senior Network Architect

to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in enterprise networking, cloud integration, and security best practices, and will play a strategic role in shaping the future of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop enterprise-level network architectures that support business goals and scalability. Lead the planning and implementation of network solutions including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, firewalls, and wireless technologies. Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and tools. Collaborate with security teams to ensure network security and compliance with industry standards. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network engineers and support staff. Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide Tier 3 support. Document network architecture, configurations, and procedures. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing. Work with vendors and service providers to manage network services and contracts.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred). 8+ years of experience in network engineering or architecture roles. Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancers. Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar technologies. Proficiency in cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.). Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with SDN and network virtualization. Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: R70000,00 - R90000,00 per month
