The Role
We are looking for a Senior Technical Architect (IT/OT) to lead the design and integration of enterprise IT and operational technology (OT) systems across our utility infrastructure. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless, secure, and scalable system architecture that aligns with regulatory, cybersecurity, and business objectives.Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and integration of IT and OT systems, including SCADA, DMS, ADMS, AMI, and enterprise applications.
• Develop and maintain reference architectures, roadmaps, and technology standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Engineering, Cybersecurity, Operations, and Business Units to align technology with strategic goals.
• Assess current technology stacks and recommend modernization strategies for legacy systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., NERC CIP, IEC 61850) and internal governance.
• Support implementation of digital grid, IoT, and data analytics platforms.
• Guide project delivery teams and provide architectural oversight during solution development and deployment.
• Mentor junior architects and contribute to enterprise architecture best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT/OT architecture, ideally in the utility or energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of electric utility systems (e.g., SCADA, EMS, GIS, AMI, asset management).
• Expertise in integration technologies (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT, REST APIs, ESB), cloud platforms, and cybersecurity standards.
• Familiarity with standards such as TOGAF, Zachman, NIST, and ISA/IEC 62443.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proven ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, CISSP, AWS/Azure Architect)
• Enterprise Architect training course.

Advanced knowledge & experience in these areas:

• IT/OT Architecture (Smart Metering or enterprise historian)
• Interpretation of Business Requirements & Logical Designs
• Data Architect
• IT/OT Infrastructure, Network & Security Architect
