Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior IT Auditor for our client in Umhlanga.

Role responsibilities include:

Audit Plan Development:

• Provide input in the development of a risk-based audit plan, considering IT risk, changes in the IT landscape, business objectives, IT strategy, and IT activities.
• Ensure alignment of audit plans with projects implemented to deliver on the IT strategy.

Integrated IT Audits:

• Plan and execute integrated IT audits covering IT General Controls (ITGCs), Application Controls Reviews (ACRs), Interface audits, and Cyber Security aspects.
• Ensure audits are conducted in adherence to policies, procedures, and audit manual.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare working papers and audit files at the required standard.
• Upload audit files and evidence into the Audit software tool.
• Draft and finalize comprehensive IT audit reports.

Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with the Internal Audit manual in all respects.
• Evaluate the performance and compliance of entities against required controls, standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Engage and build relationships with key stakeholders, including the CIO and Senior members of the Group IT teams across the business.
• Raise value-adding findings for IT reviews performed and challenge responses to audit findings or areas where controls have been applied but risk is not sufficiently mitigated.

Analytic Tools and Controls Monitoring:

• Demonstrate the use of analytic tools and automated tests/monitoring controls for all operating entities.
• Investigate and report where data exceptions are identified.

Education:

• BCom (Honours), BSc/BTech IT relevant qualification.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CISM, or CA (SA) with "Big 4" experience preferred.

Experience:

• 5+ years of audit experience, with a strong focus on IT audits.
• Strong people, process, and systems orientation.
• Involvement in the implementation of IT projects, including ERPs.
• Proven track record in effective business partnering and modernized IA methods.
• Proven IT audit experience in a manufacturing and/or commercial operating environment, with FMCG experience preferred.
