Job Summary To assist with and / or manage industry, sectoral and initiative/deal-specific information gathering, and analysis services related to key orginisation's transactions and initiatives as required by the Divisional Executive. Where appropriate, to lead the financial modelling, financial and deal structuring, and client and role-player management for existing and prospective initiatives to achieve the orginisation's strategic objectives and contribute to industry development goals. This position is aimed at facilitating, together with specialist units, deal structuring, investment analysis research and risk sharing opportunities with external co-funding partnerships.xc3x82 The role is also responsible for the overall leadership on Investment Research (including valuations) Deal Structuring in the SBU, in partnership with specialist units. This position is also aimed at building and leveraging on strategic partnerships across the business to maximize SBUxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s industrial development impact in line with SBU strategy for long-term sustainability. xc3x82 Qualifications: xc3xa2xe2x82xacxc2xa2xc3x82 xc3x82 Relevant Post Graduate Degree or equivalent xc3xa2xe2x82xacxc2xa2 xc3x82 xc3x82 MBA or masters, CFA qualification would be an advantage Knowledge and Skills: Minimum 5 yearsxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2 experience in Financial Analysis/Modelling. Experience in the financial services sector or Development Finance Sector is preferred. Experience in business analysis /credit assessment/ business forecasting and modelling. Project leadership and/or team participation (complex projects). Experience in interpretation of financial statements. Ability to engage in industry and sectoral analysis. Knowledge of financial structures, and related experience in an investment banking structured finance environment Understand and review financial models and proposed financial structures Preferably 10 -12 years relevant experience of which at least 5 years in Investment Research and Financial Analysis. At least 5 yearsxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2 experience in management of teams and at a leadership level Familiarity with financial market practice from a wide range of industries. Wide network of contacts among relevant investors. Solid experience in interacting and presenting to Senior and Executive leaders and the Board. Knowledge and exposure to a variety of industry sectors and value chain management. Experience in Investment Research Financial Analysis. Lead by example through unquestionable integrity and the ability to inspire confidence and develop excellent relations with all stakeholders Financial / Shareholder Returns Conduct industry, sectoral and financial viability studies relating to existing and prospective initiatives and transactions. Contribute to drafting proposed financial terms and conditions and deal structure. Financial and sectoral risk identification and mitigation. Conduct financial structuring and valuations using different metrics and methods. Review and analyse, and/or propose tax and accounting assumptions. Analyse financial statements and financial projections of companies and prepare reports as may be required. Support SBUxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s and other business units with deal/initiative analysis, financial structuring due diligence investigations as may be required. To perform in depth investment analysis valuations To perform in depth market research, To do deal structuring, To evaluate proposed deal terms, risk assessments on investment opportunities. Prepare professional investment materials for investment committee in support of proposed transactions. Optimize the balance of financial and development returns Unlock Industrial Development opportunities to foster economic growth and increase the reach of SBUxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s capital. Support SBUxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s long- term financial sustainability by spreading risk through partnerships and increase SBUxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s ability to offer structured financing solutions to meet our clientsxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2 investment needs. Internal / Operational Processes xc3xa2xe2x82xacxc2xa2 xc3x82 xc3x82 Drive SBUxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s financial modeling best practice together with specialist units xc3xa2xe2x82xacxc2xa2 xc3x82 xc3x82 Investment research support, to drive research-based funding/investment decisions xc3xa2xe2x82xacxc2xa2 xc3x82 xc3x82 Provide support to the SBU to structure deals optimally. xc3xa2xe2x82xacxc2xa2 xc3x82 xc3x82 Provide inputs on other emerging financing solutions for the SBU to consider. xc3xa2xe2x82xacxc2xa2 xc3x82 xc3x82 Ensure that the strategies are aligned with that of the Corporation and its mandate Customer Focus Stakeholder Management xc3xa2xe2x82xacxc2xa2 xc3x82 xc3x82 Optimize service delivery in a manner that address clientxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s needs. xc3xa2xe2x82xacxc2xa2 xc3x82 xc3x82 Present the strategic objectives and operational plans of the SBU to key decision making stakeholders within theCorporation (Executive Committees, the Shareholder, and the Board). xc3xa2xe2x82xacxc2xa2 xc3x82 xc3x82 Liaise, communicate, and promote the SBU externally.
