• Analyze financial statements and perform in-depth financial statement analysis.

• Perform financial modeling and analysis of potential acquisitions or disposals, including the development of complex financial models, discounted cash flow analysis and comparable company analysis

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate the financial viability of acquisitions and disposals.

• Use financial analysis tools to evaluate portfolio options and inform decision making.

• Determine appropriate valuations of investment projects through detailed analysis e.g. modelling ROI, IRR, scenario analysis, accretion dilution analysis etc.

• Support on business case development, competitor analysis, market analysis and other ad hoc analysis required.

• Assess companiesxe2x80x99 strategic/commercial fit, identifying transaction risks and opportunities.

• Helps coordinate the due diligence process in close collaboration with business units and functional partners in connection with transaction execution

• Provide input into the due diligence process by gathering and analysing financial data, identifying risks, and providing insights into potential synergies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a comprehensive assessment of legal, financial, and operational aspects.

• Conduct thorough industry and company research to support transaction analysis and recommendations.

• Conduct business valuations and financial analyses, market research, and capital market and cost of capital analyses.

• Utilise data analytics to inform strategic decision-making, providing insights into market trends, customer behavior, and competitive positioning.

• Collaborate with the Strategy Planner-Coordinator to integrate data-driven insights into the strategic planning process.

• Leverage data analytics and data visualization techniques to enhance reporting workflow.

• Work closely with the CSO and M&A Manager to ensure that M&A activities align with the broader strategic goals of the organisation.

• Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making across the corporate development function.

• Support the M&A Manager with the end-to-end deal execution process, including negotiation, structuring, documentation, and coordination with legal, financial, and operational teams.

• Provide expert guidance to teams regarding the M&A and the various stages in the M&A process.

Qualifications & Experience

• CA(SA) with at least 5 years of post-article experience or 3+ yearsxe2x80x99 experience in M&A or strategy consulting environment

• Project Management qualification advantageous

• M&A process and management

• Market and segment research, with strong networking and project team collaboration

• Project management experience advantageous

• Financial analysis and reporting

Self-motivated and results-oriented, this candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently to research, analyze, synthesize, and present complex qualitative and quantitative data clearly
