HR & Payroll Specialist
who brings strong financial expertise and a proven HR background to support our team. Confidentiality, professionalism, and accuracy are critical in this role.
Role Overview
The HR & Payroll Specialist will manage HR operations, oversee payroll processes, and ensure compliance with labour and finance regulations. This role requires a professional who can bridge HR functions with financial accuracy, while safeguarding sensitive information.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end HR functions including recruitment support, onboarding, contracts, and employee records.
Oversee payroll systems, ensuring accurate salary processing, deductions, tax compliance, and reporting.
Administer employee benefits, leave, and performance management processes.
Support finance-related HR reporting, workforce costing, and budget planning.
Ensure compliance with South African labour laws, regulations, and company policies.
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding employee and financial data.
Provide HR and payroll insights to leadership for decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
3-5 years' experience in HR and payroll, preferably within a professional services or IT environment.
Strong finance and payroll systems knowledge (e.g., Sage, Pastel Payroll, or similar).
Excellent knowledge of South African labour laws and payroll compliance.
Proven track record of handling sensitive information with discretion.
Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
