SUMMARY:
Are you a Payroll specialist with a Diploma or Degree, currently working in a role that exceeds 800 employees?
We require your Senior experience 5+ years in end-to-end payroll processing, with 2 of these years having been in a people leader role. Highly advantageous if your experience includes working within an HR Shared Services environment and using SAP.
This role is suited to a vibrant individual who is highly experienced in South African payroll legislation and systems, with knowledge in accounting being highly advantageous .
Experience gained in the retail sector is advantageous.

REQUIREMENTS

• Completed relevant qualification and 5+ years Payroll experience (of which at least 2 years should be in a people leader role) in a medium-large organization.
• SAP payroll experience highly advantageous,

knowledge is beneficial. * Ability to work analytically, communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.

• Attention to detail and ability to work at speed but with accuracy.
• Understand and manage risk with the right sensitivity.
• Utmost confidentially and integrity with a high degree of maturity and professionalism.
• Good administration and organisation skills.
• Ability to monitor outstanding items to ensure closure.

DUTIES:

• Accountable for maintaining payroll compliance and governance, by maintaining payroll controls.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Assist in audit operations and implement audit recommendations.
• Manage the end-to-end payroll function including setting payroll timelines with key stakeholders.
• Supervise, and coordinate work activities, workload, and distribution of responsibilities between the payroll team members.
• Manage monthly payroll processing for both back office and retail employees on SAP using the payroll checklists.
• Processing of retail hours and overtime from the Eco-time system (time and attendance system).
• Running time evaluation for the full time and part-time payrolls.
• Creating the Bank payment file and encrypting the file
• Responsible for the management, delivery, and support of Global payroll related projects.
• Maintenance of employee personal files and data maintenance in SAP
• Generate monthly payroll variance reports during payroll review.
• Reconcile payrolls against supporting documentation
• Create monthly WCA, GL, staff loans, leave provisions reports.
• Monthly submissions to the DoL - UIF declarations.
• Monthly EMP201 submissions to SARS. Which includes mid-year and annual tax year end submissions.
• Monthly payroll reconciliation of 3rd party payments and managing reviews.
• Monthly 3rd party payment summary.
• Quarterly stats submissions
• Annual return of earnings submission (Workman's compensation) and acquiring of LOGS (letter of good standing).
• Generate EE reports
• Adhoc payroll reports to assist with business requirements.
• System Maintenance:
• Manage and maintain payroll changes in SAP test environment and Live / Production environment
