Our client is a household name in South African insurance and financial services - a trusted giant with deep roots and big ambitions. Theyre looking for a Senior Financial Manager who knows the ins-and-outs of the industry, and who can forecast, guide, and optimise like a pro on policy.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare monthly reporting and analysis
- Exco presentation
- Group and regulatory reporting
- Income tax and VAT submissions
- Internal controls management
- Monitor the risks affecting distribution channels and implement systems to mitigate risks
- Prepare budgets and forecasts
- Monthly TB processing and reviews
- Review/prepare monthly BS recons
- Review daily payments and analysis of supporting schedules
- Ad hoc reports and projects
- Prepare AFS
- Liaise with internal and external Auditors
- Business partner for distribution channels
- Team management
Education:
- Qualified CA(SA)
- 5 to 7 years post-articles experience within a technical role, with a focus on Group reporting and tax/VAT
- Insurance industry experience essential
- Strong IFRS knowledge
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Pastel experience preferred
- Financial and business acumen
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a high pressure and fast paced environment
