Job Description

Prepare accurate and competitive tender estimates for Roads & Earthworks projects.



Analyse contract documents, drawings, and specifications to compile Bill of Quantities (BOQs) .



Conduct cost analysis, risk assessments, and provide value-engineering options.



Work closely with engineers, quantity surveyors, and project managers to ensure realistic pricing.



Maintain and update cost databases and historical project benchmarks.



Review subcontractor and supplier quotations and negotiate pricing.



Provide programming input and resource planning through Candy (CCS) .



Support business development and tender submissions by producing clear, detailed costings.



Engage in post-tender negotiations and handover to project execution teams.



Experience



10-20 years' proven experience in estimating (Roads & Earthworks).



Onsite exposure to roads and earthworks projects highly advantageous.



Additional experience in dams, township infrastructure, bridges, or large-bore pipelines would be an advantage.



Education & Qualifications



BSc / BTech Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying preferred.



Equivalent experience will be strongly considered in lieu of formal qualification.



Skills



Advanced proficiency in CCS Candy (estimating and programming).



Strong MS Excel capability.



Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical ability.



Strong communication and negotiation skills.



Profile



Track record with major contractors in South Africa or SADC region.



Proven ability to deliver high-value estimates on large-scale projects.
