Job Description

We are recruiting for an

Enterprise Architect

role, based full-time in

Cape Town

. The incumbent will be expected to assess and define gaps on the current strategy document with intention document and to define and lead architecture processes forward, ensuring alignment with the digital, security and business architecture of the organization. This is a short-term contract.

Key responsibilities:



Assess current business strategy, ICT strategy and digital strategy to develop formulate and improve ICT strategies and digital strategies for the future. Develop diagnostic and actionable deliverables that can guide investment decisions in support of executing the organisation business strategy. Document practical advice and best practices to overcome the challenges to successfully deliver major disruptive technology and nontechnology trends e.g. AI adoption and information security threats, and the expected business implications of these. Analyse and document business and operating models, market trends and the technology industry to determine their potential impact on the organisation business strategy, direction and architecture. Analyse and document the business' future-state capabilities and future (and current) ICT environment to detect critical deficiencies, recommend and document solutions for improvement and driving the business forward. Present a gap analysis and/or ICT investment roadmap that reflects the status of the existing ICT estate, namely, its ability to contribute to future-state business capabilities around ecosystems and digital platforms. Identify and document all organizational requirements for the resources, structures and cultural changes necessary to support the enterprise architecture. Analyse the organisation's ICT environment to detect critical deficiencies, recommend and document solutions for improvement. EA landscape architecture design as well as to identify when it is necessary to modify the enterprise architecture. Work with business peers to develop and present business capability models and roadmaps to facilitate discussion and decision making with stakeholders across the enterprise.

Required Qualifications and Experience:



Bachelor's Degree or a Postgraduate qualification in Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field. Must have an Enterprise Architecture related certification, i.e., TOGAF, ZCEA or an Open Group Certified Architect Certification. Must have a minimum of 12-years' experience in an ICT-related field, with at-least 10-years of experience in information, solution or technical architecture. Must have experience with application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations in a multitier environment. Must have a minimum of 7 years of business experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis with abilities to formulate and run enterprise-wide engagements. Must demonstrate familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, ICT services management, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks Must demonstrate understanding of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and risk management.

Essential Skills and Experience:



Possess broad knowledge of best digital practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and deadline driven. Necessary to have solid interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation. Evaluate and implement improvements on digital strategy. Understanding the latest digital tools and interactive trends. Improve and enhance the current state to maturity. Analyse internal stakeholders and external stakeholders. Create integrated and cost-effective digital strategies. Drive value for the organization. Firm grasp of emerging digital gap with opportunities & solutions. Create integrated and cost-effective digital strategies. Collaboratively develop the Digital Strategy and articulate it to all sections of the business and to stakeholders, businesses, and stakeholders.
