Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Draughts Person to join an innovative manufacturing company specializing in tailored safety solutions, focusing on advanced technologies. If you feel you are the right person, then apply now!
:

Oversee day-to-day operations of the draughting department and supervise staff
Ensure all technical drawings comply with ASIB standards and FM Global requirements
Manage departmental resources, including budgeting and allocation
Act as the main point of contact between the draughting department and other departments, clients, and stakeholders

Skills & Experience:

Solid understanding of fire sprinkler systems and their components
Familiarity with ASIB requirements (SANS 10287:2010)
Working knowledge of FM Global standards and approval processes
Over 8 years of drafting experience in fire protection or a related field
Minimum 3-5 years in a team lead, supervisory, or management role
Proficient in hydraulic calculations
Ability to prepare accurate material take-offs (MTOs)
Strong coordination and communication skills, with experience working alongside engineers, project managers, and site teams
Able to manage multiple projects and effectively balance priorities
Good problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving design issues

Qualification:
NDip Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering
Certificate in Draughting
Advanced CAD Certification
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered
