Senior Draughts Person

Job Description
:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the draughting department and supervise staff
- Ensure all technical drawings comply with ASIB standards and FM Global requirements
- Manage departmental resources, including budgeting and allocation
- Act as the main point of contact between the draughting department and other departments, clients, and stakeholders
- Solid understanding of fire sprinkler systems and their components
- Familiarity with ASIB requirements (SANS 10287:2010)
- Working knowledge of FM Global standards and approval processes
- Over 8 years of drafting experience in fire protection or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years in a team lead, supervisory, or management role
- Proficient in hydraulic calculations
- Ability to prepare accurate material take-offs (MTOs)
- Strong coordination and communication skills, with experience working alongside engineers, project managers, and site teams
- Able to manage multiple projects and effectively balance priorities
- Good problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving design issues
NDip Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering
Certificate in Draughting
Advanced CAD Certification
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered
