Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Employee Benefits industry and the products available (medical schemes, retirement funds, group risk, wellness programmes, expatriate benefits, etc.).
Conduct in-depth analysis of members' financial needs, provide appropriate advice, record it on the CRM, and share the record of advice with the member.
Ensure members clearly understand their benefits, exclusions, and the administration processes of their appointed schemes or funds.
Advise members exiting employment (retirement/resignation) on their available options and refer them to an authorised financial planner where necessary.
Consult with members who have low investment values (e.g., Red Zone) to encourage contribution increases or investment strategy changes.
Conduct and arrange onsite member assist sessions, inductions, and training sessions, ensuring that meeting notes are issued afterwards.
Assist in resolving outstanding requirements for new business applications when the AC department cannot resolve after three attempts.
Deliver year-end review presentations or open window period presentations when required.
Administration and Query Management
Attend to and resolve member and employer queries, escalating complex cases to a senior consultant immediately.
Save all client communication on the internal drive and keep clear records of attendance registers, training sessions, onsite sessions, queries, and option change forms.
Prepare meeting packs for trustees/committees and distribute meeting notes to all relevant parties.
Request data and information from schemes or funds to support projects.
Assist with billing discrepancies and membership compliance audits.
Provide HR and Payroll with monthly dashboard reports and activity analytics.
Assist with daily queries and provide updates on claims.
Submit withdrawal, funeral, death, and disability claims for processing.
Design member newsletters with fund information.
Dispatch benefit statements.
Prepare member booklets, presentations, and fund summary reports for employer groups.
Assist HR with updated claim forms upon request.
Ensure all fund governance documents are saved correctly on the drive.

QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, AND EXPERIENCE
Matric and FAIS Fit & Proper compliant (NQF Level 5, Regulatory Exams), with ongoing learning expected.
MS Office proficient; excellent English proficiency (a second language is advantageous).
Valid driver's licence and own vehicle.
Minimum 2 years' experience in medical insurance.
Employee benefits experience is an advantage.
