To strengthen our Financial Services practice (banking, insurance, and asset management), we are seeking a seasoned professional who brings deep financial expertise, technology fluency, and hands-on experience with the MagicOrange platform.

Location - Sandton, Gauteng

The Opportunity

This is a senior consulting role for an individual who understands the intersection of Finance, Technology, and Shared Services, and who can confidently lead MagicOrange implementations for enterprise clients. You will combine management accounting discipline with ITFM/TBM best practices -- enabling clients to improve cost transparency, decision-making, and operational efficiency.



Every day, you'll help new clients implement the MagicOrange solution, driving profitability and unlocking business value.

The Role - Senior Consultant - Financial Services (ITFM / TBM)

Lead Client Implementations

Own and deliver end-to-end MagicOrange implementations for large Financial Services clients. Configure cost models, service catalogues, allocations, financial feeds, and governance structures within MagicOrange. Ensure delivery excellence across timelines, quality, and client satisfaction.

Strategic Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement

Engage senior stakeholders (C-suite, Finance, Technology, Shared Services) to understand business drivers, operating models, and value goals. Present insights, financial models, and cost transparency outcomes to executive forums. Serve as a trusted advisor and the primary consulting face of MagicOrange.

ITFM/TBM Analysis & Value Realisation

Analyse cost drivers, consumption behaviour, financial trends, and operating-model structures. Identify value opportunities and cost optimisation levers using MagicOrange data and insights. Support clients through budgeting, forecasting, and cost governance improvements.

Project Leadership & Delivery Excellence

Lead workstreams within large transformation programmes. Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project momentum. Contribute to refining methodologies, templates, and best practices internally.

Coaching & Capability Building

Mentor junior consultants and analysts on MagicOrange technique, financial modelling, and consulting skills. Deliver user training, uplift sessions, and knowledge enablement for client teams. Support internal capability development within the MagicOrange consulting practice.

Qualifications:-

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline. Professional designation: CGMA / CIMA, CA(SA), or equivalent. 5+ years of experience in ITFM, TBM, Technology Finance, or Management Accounting. Proven track record in complex client engagements and senior stakeholder interaction. Strong understanding of shared services, IT cost structures, ABC costing, and financial modelling. Advanced Excel & Power BI capability. Solid grounding in GL/ERP structures, accounting, reconciliations, and journal processing. Hands-on experience with the MagicOrange platform (essential). Including model building, allocations, service costing, data ingestion, dashboards, and value delivery. Advanced Excel and Power BI Capabilities.

Preferred

Experience in Financial Services (especially banking) is highly advantageous. Background in SaaS, cloud cost optimisation, or FinOps practices. Consulting experience with Big 4 or niche ITFM/TBM consultancies.

Essential skills

Ability to quickly understand complex datasets, processes, and value chains. Adaptable, innovative, and comfortable with rapid change. Experience leading projects in financial services environments. Solid understanding of the IT infrastructure stack and technology ecosystem. Deep expertise in IT Financial Management, Cost Transparency, Cost Modelling, and Activity-Based Costing -- supported by practical MagicOrange platform experience.
