Job Description
A leading manufacturing company in the edible oils industry is seeking to employ a Senior Commercial Trader in the Durban area.
Requirements:
- Bcom Accounting degree or similar
- Proven experience in commodity trading, preferably within the edible oil or agricultural commodities industry.
- Experience within the edible oil industry - essential
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret market data and trends.
- Knowledge of risk management techniques and financial instruments used in commodity trading.
- Familiarity with trading platforms, order management systems, and market analysis tools.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheets and financial software for data analysis and reporting.
- Understanding of relevant regulations, trade laws, and compliance requirements in the commodity trading industry.
- As a Senior Commercial Trader in the edible oil manufacturing industry, you will be responsible for managing the trading activities related to edible oil products.
- You will play a vital role in executing:
- Trading strategies
- Securing supplier contracts
- Managing inventory levels
- Optimizing profitability
