Job Description

Key responsibilities:

• Design and Development: Create cloud-based architectures that fulfil both technical and business needs.
• Logical and Physical designs (including but not limited to Cloud, IT-OT & Security) for the assigned projects and solutions (selecting and applying the relevant technology standards)
• Cloud Solutions Assessment (including Pre-transfer assessment of solutions going into production)
• Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive cloud-based documentation, including architecture diagrams, patterns, policies, procedures, and training material.
• Migration Strategies: Collaborate with architecture & technical teams to formulate cloud migration strategies and plans
• Implementation Support: Offer guidance and support during the implementation of cloud solutions.
• Blueprints and Roadmaps: Utilise cloud architecture blueprints and reference architectures to create roadmaps aligned with industry best practices and standards.
• Vendor Collaboration: Work with vendors and partners to identify appropriate cloud-based solutions.
• Issue Resolution: Assist technical teams in resolving issues to ensure high availability and reliability of cloud infrastructure.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure cloud solutions align with organisational goals.
• Evaluation Criteria: Contribute to the development of evaluation criteria for product evaluations, RFIs, and RFPs.
• Documentation Experience: Document designs, cloud patterns, and other solution documentation using architectural modelling tools (ARIS & Visio).
• Artifact Updates: Update architecture artifacts in the architectural modelling tools repository (experience with ARIS & Visio is required).

Minimum Technical Skills and Qualifications:

• Must have an IT-related Bachelors Degree or a relevant Engineering degree.
• Must have a TOGAF Certification and any other relevant Cloud Architecture Certification.
• Must have at least 5 continuous years experience as a Senior Cloud Architect.

Essential Skills required:

• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role.
• Professional certifications as an Azure Solutions Architect or similar, are required. Other certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or others will also beneficial.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud-based technologies and architectures.
• Experience in implementing and managing solutions using Microsoft Azure cloud-based infrastructure. Other Hyperscaler experience will also be beneficial.
• Knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of frameworks such as NIST etc. are advantageous.
