ROLE SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer/ Senior Civil Engineering Technologist to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate must be professionally registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as PrEng or PrTechEng and have a strong background in civil engineering consulting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Responsible for all design and modelling aspects within municipal services from planning, conceptual design to detailed design and construction drawings specific to land development and municipal infrastructure (water, roads, stormwater, sewer, bulk earthworks etc).
• Develop specifications, BoQs, Cost Estimates and prepare final tender documentation.
• Prepare reports required by the project, implementation of all relevant codes of practice and ensuring that all work complies with our internal quality control procedures and is implemented to SANS 1200 or relevant requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, investigations and surveys and offer operational support to management team.
• Ensure that required drawing standards are maintained and deliver excellent client service while being client facing.
• Manage project budgets and schedules
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.

• B.Eng / Bsc Civil Engineering / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• Registered or eligible to register as Pr Eng / Pr Tech Eng (advantageous).
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience preferably in civil engineering or consulting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Watermate, IDAS, Ms Suite and other engineering software.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
