You could be the Senior Business Analyst we are looking for!This role is a hybrid position that requires you to be in the Sandton offices a few times a week.Purpose of the role:This role entails working to understand the overall company needs, define the requirements, and document the requirements using various approaches to allow for the implementation team to act. You must be able to support projects throughout their life cycle as well as manage release and post-release monitoring.Your key responsibilities will include, but is not limited to:An in-depth understanding of:System development life cycle and can explain the importance of the Business Analyst role in each stage.Distinction between functional, non-functional, and business requirements.Differences between business rules and requirements.Role of Business Analyst in supporting delivery of requirements from a business and technical point of view.Types of project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.Principles of IT and business strategy within the company.Be able to demonstrate:Run a requirement gathering workshop to acquire new requirements.Perform project estimations for Business Analyst tasks.Make recommendations for requirement approaches.Produce accurate customer requirements document with approval from all stakeholders.Present to senior stakeholders.Lead a process improvement program.Clearly define project objectives and accurately document functional requirements.Create and build complex data, process, and UML models.Resolve requirements conflict by effective stakeholder management.Offer guidance and support to intermediate and junior business analysts.Identify and document project issues, assumptions, risks, and dependencies.Perform quality assurance of business analyst deliverables.Co-ordinate and manage work and priorities of a team of junior business analysts.Determine business change initiatives by working with senior stakeholders.Understand principles of enterprise and business architecture and perform analysis at a strategic level.
