Job Description

Qualifications:

  • A degree in logistics/supply chain or an equivalent qualification is highly advantageous.
Experience:
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in logistics and supply chain management.
Agricultural Background:
  • Profound knowledge and experience in the agricultural sector is highly advantageous.
Language Skills:
  • Fluent in Afrikaans to facilitate effective communication.
Computer Proficiency:
  • Demonstrated competence in utilizing digital tools and platforms.
Exceptional Communication:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are imperative.
Transportation:
  • Must possess a personal vehicle and a valid driver's license.
Results-Oriented:
  • Exhibit a keen sense of target achievement and self-motivation.
Business Development:
  • Proven ability to identify and cultivate new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Documentation Management: Ensure all new and existing applications are submitted with correct FICA documentation as per company policy.
  • Credit Approval: Obtain Credit Guarantee Insurance Cover approval with an approved limit for new clients before submission for registration on the Logistics Information System as per company policy.
  • Limit Adherence: Ensure strict adherence to Credit Guarantee Insurance Cover limits and prevent the exceedance of approved limits as per company policy.
  • Data Management: Submit new stock and contract tonnages to broker assistants and update daily/weekly stock sheets.
  • Query Resolution: Handle all broker-related queries promptly and accurately.
  • Load Booking: Book and execute brokered loads accurately on the Logistics Information System.
  • Client and Transporter Updates: Provide accurate and professional updates to clients and transporters.
  • Query Handling: Timely return and handling of all client and transporter queries and feedback in a professional manner.
  • Communication Responsiveness: Answer calls during working and after hours, and respond to missed calls promptly and professionally.
  • Resolution Timeframe: Ensure all queries are resolved within a two-day timeframe from the date of receipt from admin personnel.
  • Business Development: Drive new business opportunities and recruit new transporters.
  • Client and Transporter Relations: Maintain and nurture current client and transporter relationships through continuous weekly business schedule trips.
