Job Description


Overall, Purpose of the Job

To coordinate and plan stakeholder events, awareness campaigns and maintain communication with the industry. To coordinate and plan key projects within the function.

AVIATION AWARENESS PROGRAMMES

  • Develop annual schools visit plan
  • Build relationships with the National, Provincial, District and Circuit departments of education
  • Ensure targets are met as per an annual plan approved by EXCO
  • Coordinate interviews and talks on careers in aviation with the Media
  • Ensure aviation career content for Career Awareness TV is accurate and qualitative
  • Ensure that information on aviation careers is up to date and accurate across all platforms
  • Conduct presentations on careers in aviation, where necessary
SAFETY AND SECURITY PROGRAMMES
  • Identify and analyse target market for specific safety issues
  • Develop relevant safety campaigns
  • Communicate safety messages using all necessary communication mediums
  • Coordinate safety presentations at flying clubs
  • Coordinate industry safety promotion events
  • Work with internal technical departments to ensure their physical and virtual safety related events i.e. workshops, conferences and campaigns are carried out efficiently and professionally.
  • Conduct post - event analysis and write reports thereof
SAFETY PUBLICATIONS
  • Liaise with the supplier for the production of the safety publication
  • Ensure that the safety publication is distributed timeously and placed at strategic positions
STAKEHOLDER RELATIONS
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of the organisationxe2x80x99s stakeholder management strategy
  • Work with departments to provide support for the co-ordination of stakeholder engagements for specific projects and events where necessary
  • Identify gaps and co-ordinate stakeholder interventions
MONTHLY AND QUARTERLY REPORTS
  • Collate information for the production of monthly reports
  • Collate information for quarterly reports
  • Ensure that reports are submitted on time to the manager
DEVELOPMENT OF PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS
  • Develop relevant promotional materials e.g. banners, brochures, etc.
  • Collate information for the production of promotional materials and ensure accuracy thereof
  • Oversee the production, quality and distribution of marketing and promotional materials
  • Ensure that marketing stock levels are maintained
  • Monitor and control movement of promotional materials
MAINTENANCE OF DEPARTMENTAL VEHICLE
  • Oversee and monitor movement of the departmental vehicle
Education
  • Minimum
National Diploma in Marketing/Public Relations/Communications/Events Management or other relevant qualification at an NQF level 6.

Ideal

Degree in Marketing/Public Relations/Communications/Events Management or other relevant qualification at an NQF level 7.

Experience

3-5 Years in Aviation Development experience and/or Marketing, Communications or Events Management experience
