We deliver end-to-end quantitative and qualitative data solutions for collecting, managing, analysing, and visualising data using cutting-edge tools and methodologies. We are experts in data intelligence, offering comprehensive research project management services including: study design and sampling, data collection tool development, backend data management systems, fieldwork management, data quality and cleaning, and analytics. Innovation through technology is at the core of what we do, where we leverage a suite of powerful, integrated tech tools to implement projects. In addition, we seek to advance the collective capabilities in data intelligence across our company, offering technical support and capacity building opportunities to the wider firm.
Requirements
ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Associate to join our innovative team. The Senior Associate will be responsible for leading primary data collection projects and supporting our broader mission of advancing data intelligence capabilities across Genesis. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in managing large-scale primary data collection including client relationship management, study design, fieldwork methodology, data collection instrument design and digitisation, fieldwork management, data management and quality assurance, and analysis.
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about impact research and data, rigorous, with strong project management skills, excited about leveraging innovative tech solutions, and aligned with PDI's mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities:
Project and Client Leadership:

• Oversee project management, including budgeting, resource allocation, timelines, and deliverables.
• Manage relationships with clients, fieldwork partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Disseminate research findings using various mediums such as reports, dashboards, data visualisations, and presentations.

Technical Execution:

• Lead the technical design of studies, including sampling and fieldwork methodology.
• Oversee data collection tool design and digitisation.
• Manage the set-up and maintenance of backend data pipelines.
• Design and facilitate training for fieldwork teams.
• Ensure robust data management and quality assurance processes.
• Conduct data cleaning and analysis.
• Develop insightful dashboards and map geographical data.
• Provide support by troubleshooting technical issues.

Team and Practice Development:

• Provide management and leadership to project teams.
• Contribute to the training and capacity building of the PDI team and the wider Genesis firm.
• Work with leadership to streamline processes and develop guidelines and standards for best practice.

REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• A Master's degree or higher in Economics, Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Public Health, Psychology, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in data-driven consulting work, specifically managing primary data collection.
• Excellent writing skills with proven experience in leading the development of analytical reports and project proposals.
• Experience in designing and facilitating training sessions.

Technical Skills:

• High proficiency with mobile data collection tools (e.g., SurveyCTO), relational databases (e.g., Airtable), and dashboard tools (e.g., Google Looker Studio).
• Expertise in scripted statistical analysis software (e.g., Stata/R) and geospatial tools (e.g., QGIS).
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
