Key Responsibilities:

• Be the go-to person for applications support service requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Collaborate with the Applications Manager to maintain and improve ITIL processes, including Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of all business applications, offering solutions to known problems.
• Produce technical reports and management information as needed.
• Conduct daily checks to monitor the performance of applications services.
• Provide support and training to our application users.
• Build strong relationships with customers to understand and address their requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Background in a scientific/numerical discipline or relevant IT experience.
• Proven experience in applications maintenance and development.
• Familiarity with the Application life cycle, including patches, config changes, and hotfixes.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics Nav or other ERP systems.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Basic understanding of SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Knowledge of core technologies, including .Net, Windows Server, Office applications, and reporting technologies.
• Experience with release-based application development and the development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with the Data Protection Act 1998 and secure data environments.
