This role is based in Mokopane, Limpopo

-The Electrical Section Engineer is a 2.13.3.1 appointment in terms of the MHS Act and is responsible to provide operational service and support to the Resident Engineer.

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Ensuring adherence to site-specific and overall Valterra Platinum standards. Multi-disciplinary team management Strategic Asset management including planned maintenance and common reliability practices Safety Management Labour structure and training management Effective Budgeting Controls (OPEX and CAPEX) Management of Major shutdowns Oversee open pit electrical projects (within limit of authority) Ensuring adherence to Legal compliance Manage open pit electrical rotables and spares Carry out 1st ,2nd and 3rd line maintenance.

This role is at a Band 6 level reporting to the Resident Engineer.

Qualifications

-Electrical Engineering Degree / Diploma Government Certificate of competency in Mines and Works - Electrical Medium voltage certification - advantageous

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Five years post Engineering qualification experience Three years appointed in electrical section Knowledge/experience in overhead power lines and medium voltage equipment Proficient in computer literacy - Microsoft office Proficiency in English
