Our high performing teams take accountability for their own and others' actions, work collaboratively, and always show care and respect. -As a legal Appointee, you will ensure the safe and sustainable operation of plant equipment and processes linked to your Operational area of responsibility at the Precious Metals Refinery.Your key responsibilities will include:Ensuring adherence to the OHS Act and regulations.Management of the effective maintenance of assets, including planned and preventative maintenance.Management and facilitation of shutdowns.Ensuring adherence to site-specific and overall Anglo American standards.Oversee plant, operational and business improvement projects (within the limit of authority).Effective budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.Display effective team and performance management.This role forms part of the Engineering Department of Precious Metals Refinery at a Band 6 level reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, with multiple section reports.Qualifications-Engineering related qualification xe2x80x93 Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Electrical).Government Certificate of competency.Your experience will include:Five years managerial experience in maintenance management in a processing related environment i.e, Smelters, Furnaces, Processing, Refineries and ConcentratorsAt least 3 years people management experience (middle management) is required.Knowledge and Skills:OperationsProject management fundamentals.New technologies and their impact on operational activities within scope of role.Business improvement tools and techniques.A thorough knowledge of the relevant standards and codes of practice is required, plus an ability to assemble a flow sheet that meets the project objectives.Advanced Computer literacy.CommercialCommercial/business drivers in discipline, business performance variability and underlying causes that define subsequent actions.Basic financial metrics, cost and value management & budgeting tools.ManagementRisk management techniques and critical controls.Value chain management within discipline, and awareness of interdependencies across value chain steps.Leadership tools for creating a culture of purposexe2x80x93led high performance and change.Systems maintenance.ComplianceSafety, health and environment, legislative, statutory, regulatory and permitting requirements.Additional Information-What we offerWhen you join Anglo American, you can expect to enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package, but more than this, youxe2x80x99ll find yourself in an environment where the opportunities for learning and growth are second to none.
