As the Salesforce Architect within a segment Centre of Excellence you will be responsible for providing architectural guidance to all Salesforce teams within the segment, helping ensure that solutions align to group standards, utilise native Salesforce objects and features where possible, are fit-for-purpose and achievable. You will provide technical guidance to the various feature teams throughout the development lifecycle, most importantly assisting them through the various architecture and design governance forums. Your deep experience on various Salesforce projects will assist you in guiding the teams towards realistic designs and away from rabbit holes. You will attend various governance forums where you will champion our segment solutions and when needed question and challenge other submissions to help ensure the best outcomes for the group. You will leverage your networking skills to build up a strong network around you, which you will then collaborate with to ensure good architectures and designs. When necessary you will spearhead new architecture patterns, from concept through to approval within the governance framework. You will be seen as a technical coach and mentor to the Salesforce technical community and in this role you will sometimes roll up your sleeves and get stuck in the code and when needed you will develop POCs to prove your ideas to the community. Within the Salesforce Architecture community you will be seen as a thought leader who can challenge other architects as well as welcome being challenged.

Qualifications

• Post Graduate Degree in Information Technology

• At least 8 Years' work experience in one or more Technology areas including but not limited to IT architecture, infrastructure, and cloud development Engineering and software architecture design, Business analysis, DevOps, Project and product management
• At least 6 years work experience with Salesforce
• At least 5 years' work experience with Salesforce declarative app creation and maintenance
• At least 3 years' work experience as a Salesforce developer (Apex, LWC, Flow, OmniStudio)
• Appropriate Salesforce Certification e.g. Data Architect, Application Architect, System Architect, Developer, Platform App Builder
• At least 5 years' hands-on experience working with Agile practices, LEAN, SCRUM, DevOps
