Job Summary An exciting opportunity is available within our CIB Cash Management International Team for a Sales Originator. As a Sales Originator you will be responsible for responding to requests for proposal pitch books, account plans, conducting market intelligence and customer research. The role also entails
communicating with existing / future clients and interacting with our Coverage and in country teams,
working on regular reporting and analysis of client portfolios of the Senior Sales Managers, closely monitoring the development of the portfolios, analysing, and explaining deviation. You will also support the drive for product and sector sales initiatives for in country sales origination for replication/scale.
The role also involves developing strong partnerships with our coverage banking teams and product partners across the entire ARO franchise to deliver cash management services solutions to clients and prospects as well as developing in-depth product knowledge of solutions, regulations and trends required to advise and support the in-country Sales teams.



Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plan for sales ensuring that ambitions to grow share of primary banked market are met.
  • Help coordinate sales targeting approach together with Client Coverage in CIB
  • Implement rigorous approach to pipeline management
  • Proactively research to create target client lists for new business in conjunction with relationship teams.
  • Develop and implement targeted action plans for generating additional income streams from identified key clients and sectors.
  • Develop and maintain networks within the Absa Group across key areas including but not limited to product owners, client coverage and service.
  • Maintain high personal visibility with key influencers within the bank and externally promoting credibility of self and the businessxe2x80x99s growing capabilities.
  • Proactively build an internal and external network that will facilitate the generation of customer leads (e.g., Industry/Trade Associations, Chambers of Commerce, Industry seminars etc) by networking effectively in the market.
  • Provide input to product development and design of marketing and sales materials founded on an understanding of client needs.
  • Ensure that all sales and performance management measures (e.g. sales pipeline tool, databases etc) are adhered to.
Education and Experience Required
  • Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Commerce, Banking, Economics or at least ACT CertICM qualified
  • Post Graduate degree (NQF Level 7) will be advantageous.
  • 3 xe2x80x93 5 years relevant experience

Bachelors Degree and Professional Qualifications: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
