Sales Operations Manager

Job Description

The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all operational aspects of the sales function. This role ensures that sales activities are properly processed, documented, tracked, and supported, enabling the sales team to focus on selling while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and accountability across the sales pipeline.

The position plays a critical role in linking sales, administration, stock control, and digital lead management, and requires a highly organised, detail-oriented individual with strong communication and systems skills.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales Operations & Administration



Manage end-to-end sales processing, from initial enquiry through quotation, invoicing, order confirmation, and handover Create, issue, track, and follow up on quotes and invoices to ensure timely conversion and payment Maintain accurate sales records, documentation, and internal reporting

Stock & Order Coordination



Track stock levels in coordination with operations and production teams Ensure product availability is accurately reflected in quotes and customer commitments Flag shortages, lead times, and fulfilment risks proactively

Sales Team Coordination



Coordinate daily workflows and information flow between sales staff and management Ensure sales processes, pricing structures, and internal procedures are followed consistently Support the sales team with documentation, information, and operational follow-through

Client Communication & Support



Act as a key point of contact for client enquiries, order updates, and after-sales queries Ensure professional, timely, and accurate communication with customers Assist in resolving issues related to orders, invoicing, and delivery

Digital & Lead Management



Manage and monitor inbound leads from social media, website, and other digital channels Understand and support social media-driven lead generation processes Perform basic operational updates on a WordPress-based website, where required

Key Requirements



Proven experience in sales operations, sales administration, or a similar commercial role Strong organisational and administrative skills with high attention to detail Hands-on experience with quotations, invoicing, order processing, and sales documentation Working knowledge of social media platforms and digital lead management Basic to intermediate understanding of WordPress Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Performance & Accountability



Accuracy and turnaround time of quotes and invoices Conversion rate from enquiry to sale Stock accuracy and reduction of fulfilment issues Quality and responsiveness of client communication Effectiveness of sales team coordination and process adherence
