A large and established retail group is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and skilled Sales Floor Manager to join our team. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in retail management, buying, stock control, and team leadership who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Purpose of the Role
To effectively manage and oversee all aspects of the sales floor, ensuring smooth operations, optimised stock levels, and achievement of sales targets while maintaining high merchandising and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Staff Leadership & Management
Plan and coordinate daily activities on the sales floor.
Conduct regular team meetings, enforce discipline, and provide on-the-job training and coaching.
Motivate and develop staff to ensure excellent customer service.
2. Stock Buying & Replenishment
Determine replenishment needs based on sales trends and stock levels.
Source and purchase stock, securing the best possible deals with suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, coordinate stock returns and rotations, and ensure optimal availability.
3. Merchandising & Floor Standards
Maintain high merchandising standards and ensure shelves are well-stocked and visually appealing.
Allocate space for merchandisers, verify promotional displays, and ensure accurate pricing and labels.
4. Shrinkage & Loss Control
Monitor and manage stock shrinkage across the store and sales floor.
5. Promotions & Marketing Support
Purchase additional stock for promotions.
Coordinate in-store advertising and support marketing activities.
6. Administrative & Reporting
Ensure invoice pricing accuracy.
Track and analyse the rate of sale to inform buying decisions.
