Job Specification: Sales Executive - Integrated Facilities Management
Job Mission
The Sales Executive is responsible for selling products and services by establishing contact with prospective clients, developing strong professional relationships, and recommending attractive, value-driven solutions. The role focuses on maintaining and growing client relationships through ongoing support, guidance, and the identification of new business opportunities that enhance growth, profitability, and service delivery.
Reporting Line
Reports to Senior Management.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of five (5) years' successful sales experience in a solutions-based environment
Experience within facilities management or facilities soft services is essential
Own reliable vehicle and a valid driver's licence
Neat, professional appearance
Self-starter with strong initiative
Highly driven and results-oriented
Areas of Accountability
1. Sales Pipeline
Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline with clear, traceable information
Update pipeline monthly and submit ahead of performance review meetings
Apply a structured approach to targeting clients by geography or market segment
Conduct telephonic cold calling according to an agreed schedule
Maintain accurate activity reports for cold calls and appointments
2. Client Appointments
Conduct face-to-face client appointments in line with agreed targets
Apply a systematic approach to assessing and understanding client needs using appropriate needs-analysis tools
3. Financial Management
Prepare accurate quotations and invoicing based on current pricing
Accurately report monthly sales performance against agreed budgets
4. Sales Targets
Sales targets will be discussed and agreed upon with the successful candidate
Targets will include all services relevant to the assigned service portfolio
5. Proposals and Quotations
Prepare relevant, professional proposals and quotations based on financial inputs
Recurring service quotations above a specified monthly threshold must be presented to clients in person, unless excluded due to tender or formal RFP processes
6. Reporting
Submit accurate monthly sales and activity reports
Attend and participate in scheduled sales meetings
7. General Responsibilities
Build business by identifying and converting new prospects while maintaining strong client relationships
Identify business opportunities through market research and industry analysis
Recommend solutions aligned with client needs
Maintain client relationships through ongoing support and value-added recommendations
Stay informed on industry trends, market activity, and competitor offerings
Identify opportunities for product or service improvement
Prepare reports through accurate data collection and analysis
Maintain service quality by adhering to organisational standards
Continuously develop professional knowledge through training, research, and networking
Contribute positively to team objectives
Maintain strict confidentiality of all company and client information
