Technical Sales Engineer

Salary: Market Related, Permanent

Purpose of Position:

Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a technical Sales Engineer from the Optical, Aerospace, Aviation, Technology industries. The purpose of the sales engineer is to deliver on revenue targets by building relationships with and providing customer support to new and existing customers. This role reports directly to the CEO.

Minimum Requirements Qualifications And Skills

xe2x97x8f Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, Sales or a related field

xe2x97x8f Account relationship management experience

xe2x97x8f B2B technical hardware sales experience required; 7+ years experience in the technology industry - Optical, Aerospace, Aviation

xe2x97x8f Ability to effectively understand customer technical requirements while interacting with both technical and non-technical people (Solution selling)

xe2x97x8f Proficient in CRM software

xe2x97x8f Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets

xe2x97x8f Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences

xe2x97x8f Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively

xe2x97x8f Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close

xe2x97x8f Strong business sense and industry expertise (optical, aerospace, aviation)

xe2x97x8f Prospecting skills

xe2x97x8f Persuasion, negotiation, and closing skills

xe2x97x8f Ability to travel internationally and working flexible hours to compensate for time zones

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Including, but not limited to:

Leads Management

xe2x97x8f Actively seek out new opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media

xe2x97x8f Generate high-quality qualified sales leads and capture them in Zoho

xe2x97x8f Convert sales leads from Zoho into engaged potential customers and ultimately into sales orders

Sales Delivery

xe2x97x8f Set meetings with existing & potential clients to find our solutions for their problems

xe2x97x8f Log potential deals on the back of customer engagements

xe2x97x8f Foster customer relationships and actively work to convert leads and deals into sales orders

xe2x97x8f Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the value

proposition of our products and solutions

xe2x97x8f Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education to prospect and existing customers

xe2x97x8f Model the business case associated with each sale opportunity

xe2x97x8f Participate in events and conferences on behalf of the company

xe2x97x8f Create effective sales pitches and sales collateral to close deals

xe2x97x8f Effectively grow and manage a distributor channel

xe2x97x8f Maintain documentation of customer contact and account updates in the CRM

Strategy & Budgets

- Create sales strategies that target our B2B customers

- Develop and deliver strategies for growth and scale

- Identify new revenue streams

- Establish global partner relationships (eg. OE manufacturers, distributors, implementers, installers, maintenance)

- Engage in new business development and funnel management activities with focus on vertical market developments

- Develop sound customer engagement strategies

- Contribute to sales reporting and projections / forecasting

Research & Innovation

- Research customer needs for new solutions (products and features)

- Conduct market research to identify new routes to market

- Collect and document competitive intelligence

Post Sale

xe2x97x8f Develop an Account Development Plan for high potential accounts

xe2x97x8f Manage resolution of customer complaints and queries

xe2x97x8f Follow up with clients to understand their experience and satisfaction

xe2x97x8f Manage customer relations by soliciting and logging client feedback; evaluate data received through digital channels

xe2x97x8f Identify areas to improve customer satisfaction and repeat business; communicate issues to management to develop possible solutions

xe2x97x8f Coordinate training support to customers and distributors as needed

xe2x97x8f Work closely with Marketing to develop supporting marketing communications

xe2x97x8f Create effective sales pitches and sales collateral to close deals

xe2x97x8f Monitor repair and support tickets, and liaise with these departments to ensure customer satisfaction
