Sales Engineer Renewable Energy

A leading manufacturing company in Eastern Cape - East London is looking for a Sales Engineer with knowledge of battery storage, renewable energy solutions for their standby products.

Purpose of the Job
To grow the battery storage and turnkey solutions of the Renewable Energy (RE) business, Telecoms and UPS and
Surface Motive Power by identifying strategic opportunities, selling, advising, designing, sizing, and partnering
with prominent energy players in the market to procure business from new and existing customers, manage
agents and ensure sound relationships with the entire customer base.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify and develop strategic sales opportunities for new and existing clients in both products and services.
• Meet monthly, annual sales and business development targets for RE, Telecoms/UPS and Forklifts solutions.
• Selling, advising, designing, sizing of Renewable Energy Solutions, and partnering with energy players in the

market. * Selling Telecoms /UPS and Forklift Energy storage solutions.

• Ability to pitch, negotiate, write proposals, critically assess, and pursue new business opportunities and potential

sales pipeline. * Effective communication and negotiations skills, team player and strong relationship builder for both internal

and external stakeholders. * Building sound customer relationships (ongoing).

• Technical advice and training - including presentations.
• Checking of batteries, voltages, and SG's.
• Measuring of battery compartments for Forklifts.
• Soliciting new customers and handling of customer complaints and queries.
• Management of budgets - sales and expenses.
• Follow-up on deliveries.

Education & Experience

• Grade 12
• Electrical Engineering Diploma or N3 Electrical Engineering
• 2 to 4 years related sales experience is essential.
• Preference would be given to candidates with a college certificate/diploma in Sales & Marketing in Energy Storage orBattery Industry.
• Strong Communication Skills
