Job Description


Seeking an adept Sales Engineer to not only oversee an array of accounts but also to uncover and nurture new clientele in their designated territory. This role combines meticulous coordination across manufacturing, administrative, and logistical fronts, all aimed at amplifying sales and refining margins.

Qualifications

  • A Grade 12 certificate or a National Technical Certificate N3 (Technical).
  • Possession of a Mechanical Trade/Diploma.
Experience
  • Minimum of three years in an external sales representative role.
  • A solid mechanical foundation with 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Acumen in both direct and distributor sales, with a deep understanding of industrial products
Skills:
  • A highly driven individual with a documented track record.
  • Masterful selling, negotiation, and communication abilities.
  • Efficient prioritization, time management, and organizational prowess.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver top-tier customer service to assigned accounts.
  • Provide engineering backing for all new product and engineering inquiries.
  • Direct the sales and service of all products within these accounts.
  • Regularly engage with customers to nurture relationships and secure new orders.
  • Cultivate and sustain robust, positive relationships at every tier of client personnel.
  • Champion and negotiate long-term supply contracts and partnership agreements.
  • Uphold comprehensive account files and produce timely reports.
  • Stay abreast of product knowledge, application expertise, and company policies.
  • Monitor sales trajectories, ensuring targets are met in a timely manner.
  • Design and implement strategies to address open issues, including account payment discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to guarantee timely customer payments.
  • Deliver insights on customer needs, competitive dynamics, and openings for novel products/services.
  • Refine sales processes, supported by pertinent materials and documentation.
  • Oversee a comprehensive sales database, capturing essential stakeholder information.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Guide the Finance Director/Sales Manager on sales objectives, striving to augment both the order book and sales volume with existing and prospective clients.
