Karri is a fast-growing South African fintech platform that helps schools, parents, and communities manage payments seamlessly and securely. From school fees to fundraising events, we give parents a frictionless experience while ensuring schools improve their collections and cash flow. We're trusted by leading schools like Affies, Grey College, Rondebosch Boys, and AdvTech Group.
We are looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Growth team. This role is perfect for someone eager to build a career in sales, with hands-on mentorship and exposure to the full sales cycle.
What You'll Do

  • Outbound prospecting: Research and identify new schools and organisations that could benefit from Karri.
  • Lead qualification: Reach out via phone, email, and LinkedIn to engage decision-makers (finance managers, principals, bursars, etc.).
  • Follow-ups: Nurture inbound leads and past contacts to keep opportunities moving.
  • Pipeline support: Work directly with the Head of Growth to book and prepare meetings with qualified prospects.
  • CRM management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in HubSpot (calls, emails, notes, pipeline stages).
  • Collaboration: Share feedback from calls to help improve outreach campaigns, messaging, and product positioning.
What We're Looking For
  • Strong communication skills (confident on the phone, professional on email, personable on LinkedIn).
  • A driven, target-oriented mindset with resilience to handle rejection.
  • Organised and detail-focused - able to manage leads, tasks, and follow-ups consistently.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a sales career.
  • Comfortable with technology (CRM systems like HubSpot, LinkedIn, and email tools).
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English
  • A team-player mindset who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Previous sales, call centre, or customer-facing experience (advantageous but not required).
  • Interest in fintech, education, or technology.
