Sales Development Representative

Job Description


We are seeking highly motivated and results-oriented individuals to join our team as Sales Development Representatives. Your primary responsibility will be to generate qualified leads and secure appointments for our sales team. You will play a crucial role in expanding our customer base and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a strong sales mindset, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research to identify potential prospects and generate a database of leads
  • Reach out to prospects through various channels such as phone calls, emails, social media, and networking events
  • Engage with prospects to understand their needs and qualify them as potential customers
  • Present the benefits and features of our products or services to prospects
  • Schedule appointments for the sales team by effectively communicating the value proposition and arranging suitable meeting times
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of lead interactions and appointments in the CRM system
  • Collaborate with the sales team to align on strategies, provide feedback, and optimize the appointment generation process
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly targets for lead generation and appointment setting
  • Continuously stay informed about industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a B2B sales environment or outbound sales
  • Matric or equivalent
  • Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in business, marketing, or related field (preferred)
  • South African citizen
  • Familiarity with CRM software and lead management systems
  • Strong persuasive and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Proficient in using various communication channels such as phone, email, and social media platforms
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
