Job Description
Key Responsibility
Implement and maintain the site Health, Safety & Environmental Plan Conduct daily site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks Ensure compliance with the OHS Act, Construction Regulations, and client SHE requirements Maintain incident registers, risk assessments, permits, and safety documentation Monitor safe workings on conveyor belts, structural steel installations, confined spaces, hot works, lifting operations, scaffolding, and electrical works Lead near-miss reporting, hazard identification, and continuous improvement Coordinate safety induction for staff, contractors, and visitors Support HIRA, Method Statement, and ITP/QCP compliance Investigate incidents and submit formal reports Ensure all PPE, equipment, and emergency procedures are in place and functioning
Minimum Requirements
SAMTRAC certification At least 2-5 years' experience in construction, mining, industrial, or conveyor-belt projects Valid first aid, firefighting, and fall-arrest training advantageous Strong knowledge of SHE files, risk assessments, permits-to-work, and legal compliance Ability to manage safety documentation for tenders and site operations Excellent communication & leadership skills
