To conduct nuclear safeguards inspections at national nuclear facilities in line with the requirements of the Nuclear Energy Act.
Key Performance Areas
Identify facilities that need to be inspected.
Inform the nuclear facility accounting officer/implementation officer about the visit.
Perform facility books examination.
Verify inventory level and inventory changes.
Confirm the nuclear material measurement and results.
Compile inspection reports on the outcomes of national inspections and recommend corrective action to management
Develop the nuclear safeguard procedures and guidelines applied in national nuclear safeguard
facility in line with the SHEQ requirements
Request a completed DIQ from safeguarded facilities
Conduct AP review exercise on allocated buildings
Participate in AP annual reviews meetings
Facilitate security clearance.
Facilitate medical examination.
Inform the facilities about the visit.
Prepare shipments of IAEA samples and equipment into/ out of the country.
Communicate the outcome of inspection report from IAEA to the facilities.
Monitor the implementation of corrective and preventative action are taken by the facilities.
Monitor and report on trends or anomalies.
Completion of ITDB form and submission to IAEA

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
BSc in physics / chemistry or BTech /Advanced Diploma in Engineering
International State Systems of accounting for and Control of Nuclear Material course/certificate (SSAC) will added as advantage
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in Nuclear Industry
Minimum of 2 year working experience in Nuclear Safeguards
Minimum of 2 years in using NDA techniques
