School Terms: Mon - Fri 13:30 - 19:30

School Holidays: Mon - Fri 09:00 - 18:00 - Normally only 4 days per week

Rosebank, CT

Ages:

6 years old in Grade 1 (ADHD - Battles to focus) and 10 year old son in Grade 5 (ADHD - Gets distracted easily)

Working hours:

Mon - Fri: 13:30 - 19:30 plus 2 x babysitting evenings per month (included in salary)

School Holiday Hours:

Mon - Fri 09:00 - 18:00 - Normally only 4 days per week

Optional Extra:

Morning Runs During school terms: Mon - Fri 07:00 - 08:00 - Additional R2000 per month plus petrol.

Duties:

Collect from school, Take to extra-murals and appointments, Assist with and supervise homework and school projects etc, Engaging in intellectually stimulating play & activities with child, buying any supplies for school projects etc, Bathing your children, Prepare meals for your children, Occasional Babysitting and weekend work (by prior arrangement). Occasional Grocery shopping and running errands for the family.

Requirements:

Looking for a candidate aged 35 years and older, who can assist with homework for the grades. Someone light hearted and fun and gets involved with the children and their interests. PATIENCE is a must. Mature, nurturing, likes to play, someone who take initiative and is looking for a long term commitment. ADHD experience a bonus.

Start date:

Mid January/February 2026 - Permanent role

Salary:

R18000 - R20000 per month (gross, before deductions) plus SARS Rates (R4.76) per km (depending on experience)



All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.

Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.

Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.

Must have a clear criminal record

Must have a passion for children

Must have Matric

Must have a South African ID document.
