To supervise and coordinate all front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, smooth daily service flow, and efficient team performance in line with the restaurant's standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Supervision & Leadership
Supervise waiters, hosts/hostesses, bar staff, and other front-of-house employees.
Assign daily duties and oversee shift rosters.
Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and performance feedback.
Customer Service
Ensure guests receive prompt, professional, and friendly service.
Handle customer complaints, feedback, and special requests.
Maintain high service standards during peak hours.
Operations Management
Oversee dining area setup, cleanliness, and ambience.
Manage reservations, waiting lists, and seating efficiency.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Financial & Administrative Duties
Supervise cash handling and POS operations.
Monitor sales performance and assist with daily reports.
Help reduce wastage and control operating costs.
Team & Service Support
Motivate staff to achieve service and sales goals.
Assist staff during busy service periods.
Communicate effectively between front-of-house and kitchen teams.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to handle pressure and resolve conflicts calmly
Good organizational and time-management skills
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and service standards
Proficiency with POS systems and basic reporting
Qualifications & Experience:
Matric / High school diploma
Minimum 3 -5 years' experience in a supervisory or senior front-of-house role within a restaurant/hospitality environment
Experience in staff training and performance management
Strong understanding of restaurant operations and service standards
GAAP experience is mandatory
Working Conditions:
Shift work, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Standing/walking for extended periods
