Our client, a prominent city hotel group, is seeking an experienced and service-driven Restaurant Manager to lead the team at their stylish hotel restaurant in Musgrave, Durban. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who is passionate about hospitality, food & beverage, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Description
In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring service standards are consistently high, team members are motivated and trained, and guests leave with a lasting positive impression. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and confident managing a busy dining environment.
Duties will include staff supervision and training, inventory and stock control, menu planning support, customer service management, cash-ups, and collaboration with the kitchen and hotel teams. You'll also be responsible for maintaining hygiene and health & safety standards and ensuring the restaurant's ambiance aligns with the overall guest experience.
This is a great opportunity for a mid-level F&B professional looking to grow within a well-established hospitality group.
Salary: R15,000 per month

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within a hotel or high-end restaurant environment
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Good knowledge of POS systems and restaurant operations
• Well-groomed, presentable, and confident
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Hospitality qualification an advantage
