We're on the hunt for a Back of House Manager to join our team in Muizenberg, Cape Town.
The ideal candidate will have strong kitchen operations and staff management experience, with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and cost control.
Requirements:
3-5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Strong leadership & organizational skills
Oversee inventory control, ordering, receiving, and tracking to minimize waste and manage costs.
Conduct regular stock audits, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure food safety compliance.
Energy, leadership & a cool head under pressure
Physical stamina for managing stock areas, including lifting and moving supplies when necessary
Financial acumen to work within budgets and control costs associated with inventory
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks and ensure smooth back-of-house operations
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for tracking stock levels and ensuring accurate counts
Ability to forecast demand based on sales trends, seasonal variations, and special events
Familiarity with restaurant management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems for inventory tracking. (Lightspeed)
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house management
Reside close to Restaurant with own transport
Excel and Microsoft Office experience
Working hours are likely to be long and irregular and you will be required to work shifts and to cover other roles from time to time.
