With a growing residential portfolio and entrepreneurial leadership, this private fund and asset management company is looking to appoint an additional asset manager to their team. Already providing over 10,000 individuals with a place that they can call home in Pretoria West and Johannesburg CBD, they are also developing new complexes in Cape Town and in other parts of Johannesburg.
The primary objective of this role is to sustainably optimise revenue streams, and deep dive the performance of each asset under management in order to provide strategic investment advice to the business. It will see you responsible for managing valuation processes, benchmarking asset performance, approving and monitoring both spend and income, managing all insurance, compliance and other risks, as well as compiling data needed to make transactional decisions. Since you will be expected to add value as a stakeholder on the City Improvement District boards and liaise and negotiate with a number of senior internal and external stakeholders, it is also essential that your written and verbal communication skills are professional and confident.
Only university graduates with a minimum of 5 years property asset management can be considered; at least 2 years of which would have seen you in a supervisory role. This role would suit a commercially minded and pro-active individual with a strong understanding of the financials associated with real estate assets and excellent MS Excel skills.
