Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a Reservations Agent for a luxury group of lodges with offices based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. We are looking for someone who is competent, experienced and committed to their role in the establishment. Requirements and Education:
- 2 years experience in a reservations role within a 5* environment.
- Ability to act as part of a team, as well as being a self-starter.
- Organisational, computer and administrative skills.
- Good telephone etiquette.
- Ability to work irregular hours when and as required.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Show potential guests the facilities and check availability on requested dates.
- Determine the exact needs of the guests.
- Ensure tentative reservations are confirmed within the time from frame allocated.
- Be familiar with the facilities.
- Answering telephone in a professional manner.
- Develop a close working relationship with all departments, colleagues and managers.
- Maintain effective working relationships with guests.
- To ensure knowledge of products, guest relationships and services.
- Maintain confidentiality of information directly related to the hotel's activities.
- To maintain and reconcile group and guest accounts, and reconciliation of payments.
