Job Description

Due to the growth currently experienced by our company, Broadreach Energy is expanding its technical team. We are looking to appoint a Renewable Energy Technician to add to our established and diverse pool of skills. The success of our business development team means we particularly need to add capacity to manage the contracting, construction and operation of successfully concluded projects.
The successful candidate will have proven technical skills and experience in construction and palnt operations. They will assist the existing team in implementing and operating projects for our clients, and fault finding when issues arise.

• Must be able to read and interpret electrical design drawings
• Trouble shooting skills
• Must have a passion for the renewable energy industry

• The ability to work on ones own to meet deadlines in concluding projects timeously.
• Motivated and driven by goals.
• Ability to learn on the job the successful candidate is not expected to be experienced in our field, but will have the opportunity to upskill themselves through hands-on experience.
• Being comfortable with travel and working on your own in tough environment is a must.

Areas of responsibilities

• Maintaining solar and battery power plants for C&I customers in Sub-Saharan Africa
• Repairing equipment in the field
• Creating maintenance and repair plans
• Keeping records of maintenance
• Engaging with suppliers and OEMs
